Peter Manship Designs Terms & Conditions

Everyone has them, we don’t particularly like them but here they are:

Billing – We accept Visa and Master Card at this time, sorry, no American Express or Discover. We will authorize your card, which means we will check with your credit card provider to make sure you have enough of a limit on your card for the charge to go through. Once we get that, verify stock, your order will be on it’s way to you within 3 business days of our receiving confirmation from your credit card company that we may go ahead with the amount. If for some reason your credit card provider does not give us the go ahead to make the charge, we will notify, via email that we can not process your order. We hate to use the word decline, it sounds so final, but that is how the credit card companies phrase it. Please understand however, that much of the time it isn’t a decline at all. Unfortunately we can’t help with that. Your agreement with whichever credit card company you choose is personal and confidential information. All we can do is notify you to check with your provider. If this happens, you will have no order in our system, and will have to start over, sorry but we can’t hold your order in pending until it gets cleared up, but we also want to assure you that our server is secure and if something goes wrong with the pending charge, we hope you will feel safer knowing we do not store any of your credit information, it’s for your protection mainly.

Returns – We understand that you may receive your selection and want something different. With that in mind, we will gladly accept any unworn, meaning new, items for credit within 30 days of purchase. You must inform us though, as we will not accept any returns without prior authorization. Please notify us via email and we will send you a return number. Then just put the return number on the outside of the box and send it on its way. You will pay return shipping, and we suggest insuring it as we are not responsible for lost or damaged items, and can’t give you credit for something we don’t get or is crunched. Credits – If you have sent something back to us, we will process the credit back to your card, once the return has been inspected and accepted. We will process the credit within 3 business days of receipt of your return, yep here’s the but. Your credit card company may not be so timely. This is a case of read the fine print, which I never did, but if you do you will find that most providers have a little clause that says they can take up to 30 days to process a credit. So though we will get it processed on our end, we can’t promise the same for your provider. Again, we can’t help with this, you will have to give them a call, the number is on the back of your credit card. We can offer some helpful hints, but again, you are dealing with major bureaucracies and they do have a way of stonewalling.

Repairs & Defects – Here is where honesty is the best policy. We are craftsmen and know that occasional defects are possible and we will of course fix them, as we stand behind what we sell. Again, you will have to pay for shipping it to us; we will pay to ship it back. Please understand that defective and dropped, stepped on, pulled over your head with your shirt or caught in a door are not defective. I go back to the over 30 years part. We will know if something is defective or an accident happened. So be honest with us, I assure you we work really well with our customers who tell us the truth. We will be happy to assess any damage and quote you a repair price. Hey, accidents happen, and we want you to be able to wear your jewelry. Shipping – Once we receive your order, we will verify stock, package your item and send it on its way within 3 business days of our confirmation that your credit card will accept the charge. We ship via UPS ground and highly recommend you do the same if you should ever need to return anything. Ground service takes 3 to 10 business days for the most part. Your package is traceable, and if you should need a tracking number, please contact us after the 5th day of shipping, and we will gladly help you out or even track it for you. Please understand that before the 5th day it is just plain futile to bug UPS, or file a claim, and we just don’t have the staff necessary to track every single shipment. We appreciate your understanding in this, again, we are craftsmen first.
