About Peter Manship Designs
Peter Manship has been creating beautiful One of A Kind Collection [Shop online] sterling silver jewelry for over 30 years. He has had large up scale stores and galleries and decided in his recent years
Peter Manship Designs
our studio & store in Ludlow VT
that he just wanted to make fun things, one of a kinds and pieces that he was inspired to make. So he scaled back and opened his studio situated on beautiful Lake Pauline, in Ludlow Vermont, surrounded by the Black River section of lakes Echo, Rescue, and Amherst. We are minutes from Okemo Ski Resort, and Killington Ski area. It is here he creates his handcrafted silver rings, earrings, pendants and bracelets for both women and men. Moose in Killington - Peter Manship
It’s a funky place, yellow, purple and blue, with a porch and lots of great driftwood and rocks. It’s very peaceful and some would say inspiring. Corporate, not at all. We like talking to our customers, many who come in quite often and are considered friends. It really is a beautiful place to have to go to work to every day. Until recently it was just Peter, until I decided to move to Vermont and the beautiful Green Mountains, met Peter and well, the rest is history, and my name is Carol, nice to meet you. Together we decided to take our lives and business to a whole new level, hence the web site. Now the two of us get to create, together, though he is a master silversmith, I am not, at all. But he is teaching me more and more, and together we think of neat new things and create new pieces using semi precious and even precious stones and of course my favorite, pearls. Recently we have gone into production on a few of his most favorite and asked for items (the Blanket Baby™  [Shop online] and the Cradleboard Baby™ Series [Shop online]). Please understand that production does not mean we have a crew of hundreds working here, we do not. Production simply means that Peter creates the “master” piece and then sends it to our incredible sterling casting house, they make a mold for us and make the item in quantity. This is a recent development, but after having so many requests for the same items, and not having a crew of hundreds, this is the next best thing. You get one just like the master, and we get to take a break and create new things for you. We hope you enjoy the site, and take a real minute or two to browse and relax with us in the Okemo Valley.
These pictures of the moose and loon inspired Peter to make them part of the Northwoods Collection™ [Shop online]. We hope that they encourage you to relax and enjoy our website.
Loon on Echo Lake
(continued from below) Life is really short, and we want to in some small way give you a few minutes to just enjoy yourself. If you get the chance to come see us in person you will understand that we have a different outlook on life. We like to laugh and have fun, and look at the little things. Find a butterfly, a duck, or hopefully a moose, but more than anything, just take a minute to see the things most people are too busy to see.

We have a unique small shop
in the heart of the green mountains of Vermont on beautiful Lake Pauline.

We are open Memorial Day through the end of March for the most part. Our hours are 10AM to 4 PM all seven days.

We travel to different gem and mineral shows to find new and exciting stones for the One of a Kind collection. Email is a must, please use it and we promise to acknowledge you within 2 business days. Calling is tough, again we are not a huge corporate type place, craftsmen remember. You may get the machine, again, sorry but we don’t have a huge staff, hence why email is so very much better. If you must call, and we are not here, we will have to go with the 2 business day rule again. Business days are Monday through Friday as we consider Saturday and Sunday our days to devote to our loyal walk in customers. You can always come see us if you are in the area, it’s a beautiful spot and we know you won’t be disappointed. We make our jewelry right there in that quaint little yellow shop and are very proud of it. Just click on the directions link and map quest will hook you up.

We reserve the right to get out of dodge for what we call “daycations,” but rest assured they are never long enough by our standards, and we will be back shortly.
